These are three different models using Snakewood for the backplate: LOAK-PROTOTYPE01, LOAK2-SS(CL), and LOAK2-SS(OP). All are remade units. Due to high demand for remakes using Snakewood, I created these three versions. Personally, I believe Snakewood is one of the best choices for delivering sharp, well-defined sound.
As for the PROTOTYPE housing without paint (in its original gray color), there is only one unit currently available. If you’re looking for this distinctive prototype look, this is your chance—first come, first served.
Since all models feature Snakewood, they offer clearly defined sound outlines with focused and articulate audio.
LOAK-PROTOTYPE01: Features a sharp, lively sound with rich dynamics and natural resonance—very characteristic of dynamic drivers. Among all wood types, Snakewood is especially well-suited for this model.
LOAK2-SS(CL): With a stainless steel front, it delivers crisp sound and strong bass. Compared to other woods, the mid-to-low frequencies feel relatively tight.
LOAK2-SS(OP): An open-type Snakewood model is quite rare. Compared to the closed-back version, it produces a slightly gentler and more delicate tone. While it maintains the clarity provided by the stainless steel housing, the overall sound is relatively easy on the ears.
