These are remakes of the trade-in units LOAK-PROTOTYPE01 and 02. They were fully disassembled, and the wooden parts were newly reshaped and rebuilt. Only the front housing, body, and cable were reused.
These earphones served as the foundation for the current flagship model, LOAK2-TX. The drivers and other tuning elements are almost identical to those in the TX, with the only difference being the 3D-printed body. This earlier version is slightly harder (less flexible) than standard titanium.
LOAK-PROTOTYPE01 uses Purpleheart, while LOAK-PROTOTYPE02 uses stabilized wood.
The Purpleheart was exposed to sunlight to develop its vivid purple color before being coated. The stabilized wood has a blended hue of blue and green.
There is a subtle difference between the two: PROTOTYPE01 has a higher sound center of gravity and sharper character, whereas PROTOTYPE02 has a lower center of gravity with a fuller, more analog-style sound.
Both are one-off remakes from trade-in units and are available in a quantity of one each.
