This is a remade version of a pre-owned LOAK-PROTOTYPE01 that was traded in. It was fully disassembled, and the wood parts were newly carved and rebuilt. Only the front housing, body, and cable have been reused.
This earphone served as the basis for the current flagship model, LOAK2-TX01. While the driver and most of the tuning are almost identical to the TX01, the difference lies in the body material—the PROTOTYPE01 uses a 3D-printed body that is slightly harder (less flexible) than standard titanium.
The sound is nearly the same as the TX01, but the PROTOTYPE01 has a slightly cleaner and sharper tone, with a bit more sense of space.
The wood used for the back plate is Honduran rosewood burl, which is quite rare for rosewood. Its grain is irregular and unique.
Although it delivers sound nearly identical to the top model, the price is about half the original since it is a remade unit. PROTOTYPE models are rarely available even through trade-ins, so if you’ve been eyeing the LOAK2-TX01, don’t miss this chance—only one unit is available.
