This is an open-type MIROAK-II not included in the regular product lineup. Unlike the standard MIROAK-II, this model features a stainless steel component attached to the wooden backplate, enhancing the strength of the resin housing. For this piece, Amboyna Burl was used. While this wood has significant variations in hardness, this particular unit leans toward the harder side. However, its hardness is still considered medium compared to other woods handled by 634EARS.
Despite being named MIROAK-II, the sound profile feels closer to the LOAK2-TX03 or the older LOAK-T(OP). It delivers a more delicate, refined, and clean sound compared to the MIROAK-II. Likely influenced by the wood, the tone has a touch of warmth, but not overwhelmingly so. It also offers relatively clear contours and sharp attacks.
Only one unit has been produced this time. The combination of Amboyna Burl and the open-type MIROAK-II is unique and not part of the regular lineup. If you’re interested, be sure to check it out!
