These are rare remade TX01 and TX02 units. Both were trade-ins from customers upgrading to TX03 and have been refurbished — the wood sections were replaced, and the bodies were polished and remade.
Snakewood is used for the backplate on the TX01, and Honduran Mahogany on the TX02. Both are highly recommended wood choices for these models.
Comparing the two, the TX01 has a slightly sharper sound with a higher tonal center, while the TX02 has a lower center of gravity and a softer tone. Both deliver the thick, powerful sound characteristic of dynamic-driver earphones.
