This is the LOAK-PROTOTYPE 02 (LP02) made with Cocobolo wood. It’s a dense wood with a high oil content. The Cocobolo used here has a bright reddish-brown color, though it can sometimes be a darker shade of brown.
Despite being a hard wood, the high oil content gives it greater flexibility and density than its hardness would suggest, resulting in solid low frequencies. The sound is somewhat warm. Compared to the African Blackwood used in the previous post, this LP02 with Cocobolo has a thicker sound with more pronounced mid-low frequencies.
