This is the LOAK-PROTOTYPE 02 (LP02) made with Granadillo wood. For this model, we used the sapwood, where the heartwood and sapwood mix. The reddish-brown wood with white sapwood accents gives it a unique look, though the hardness seems unaffected.
In terms of hardness and density, this wood is medium-level compared to other woods handled by 634EARS. However, this particular piece is well-dried and on the harder side.
The sound is warm with a robust mid-low range, delivering a characteristic wooden tone. The sound has a moderate clarity in its definition, with thick but slightly thin lines. It doesn’t have a high contrast, but the overall sound is well-balanced.
