Black with a little brown grain.　It is the most standard ebony, but it is a hard and heavy wood with good luster.

The sound is firm and deep, with a very rich bass. The edges are clear.
Although it is a hard wood, the sound is not too tight, and I think it has the fullest bass of all the ebony types.
