This is the LOAK2-Ti(OP) made with Japanese Black Persimmon (Kurogaki) wood. Among the woods handled by 634EARS, Japanese Black Persimmon is relatively soft, and its gentle sound makes it a popular choice.
The Ti(OP) with Japanese Black Persimmon is characterized by a warm, soft sound. It delivers rich, thick bass with an impactful tone, but without being aggressive; the edges are rounded, making the sound mild and easy to listen to. While it shares the same tuning as the higher-end LOAK2-TX02, the TX02’s 3D-printed integrated housing provides a wider soundstage, whereas the Ti(OP) feels slightly more intimate in its presentation.
This particular piece features a brown base with black accents as highlights. However, we’ve recently sourced additional Japanese Black Persimmon wood, so for those interested, we can also offer pieces with a more pronounced black grain pattern.
