This is the LOAK2-TX01 with a brass backplate for the rear housing. The brass features coloring using the traditional technique of “Momentum Factory Orii” with “斑紋純銀色 (Antique Silver)” finish. The irregular silver patterns give it a very sophisticated look.
Brass is harder than wood, but since this model incorporates a soft, high-rebound material into the brass, the compression of air by the diaphragm inside the rear housing is not overly tight for a metal, and the sound attack and sharpness are softened, more like wood, despite having a metal backplate. Additionally, the strong air rebound inside the rear housing results in very rich bass. Compared to wood, the overall sound balance is slightly shifted toward the lower frequencies.
Typically, metal backplates tend to produce a stronger attack, but in this model, the incorporation of high-rebound material makes it easier to choose metal as a material option.
