This is the LOAK2-TX01 made with Cuban Mahogany. The wood was provided by the customer, as it’s extremely rare and cannot be sourced by 634EARS. if customers purchase or provide their own materials, we can process them.
Compared to the Honduran Mahogany, which is commonly used as standard by 634EARS, this wood feels much drier, slightly lighter, and harder.
The sound is warm and slightly soft, but the contours of the sound are clear and slim. The tone is bright, with a sense of openness, and the mid-low range has a bouncy texture with a slight swell. While there is a reasonable volume in the mid-low range, the sound has a lightness rather than a heavy focus, giving it a lively feel. It’s a wonderfully pleasant sound.
The TX01 can be used with hardwoods like snakewood for a sharp, solid sound, or with woods like this Cuban mahogany for warmth and comfort.
