LOAK2-TX01 Sono Keling
Front : Titanium
Body : Titanium(3D Printing)
Rear : Wood(Sono Keling)
This is the LOAK2-TX01 made with Sonokeling wood. Sonokeling is a type of hardwood from the legume family, similar to rosewood. It’s a hard wood, and this particular piece is very dry with a slightly greenish tint, which is quite rare. In terms of hardness and density, it feels similar to Ching-chan among the woods handled by 634EARS.
When compared to the 634EARS hardness-density chart, Sonokeling falls into the category of woods where “hardness > density.” There aren’t many woods like this. The sound is clear and slightly lean, with a well-defined outline. Overall, the sound is tight with a moderate amount of solidity. Although this was the first time using this wood, I was very impressed with it. I’d like to try it in an open type as well.
