Introducing four types of LOAK2-TX01: ChakteViga, Satine, Honduran Rosewood (burl), and Copper (Patterned Gas Bronze). The copper features a traditional “Copper Blue” coloring technique by Momentum Factory Orii, resulting in a textured blue surface.
ChakteViga is a wood used for violin bows, characterized by a light yellowish-brown color with subtle grain patterns. As it’s used for violin bows, it has excellent flexibility. The sound is light and overall quite clear. While the contours are well-defined, the edges are not overly sharp. The sound has a playful, bouncing quality, with a sense of rapid sound transitions—expanding yet not overly relaxed.
Satine, also known as Bloodwood, is a reddish-brown wood, though this particular piece shows a faint golden hue depending on the angle. It’s a dense and hard wood, producing a rich sound with a low center of gravity. The bass is thick and punchy, giving the impression of strong contrast and a solid core-like sound.
Honduran Rosewood in this instance is a rare burl piece, making it extremely rare and featuring irregular grain patterns. This piece is drier and harder compared to typical Honduran Rosewood, producing a somewhat clear and defined sound. The attack feels slightly stronger, giving it a more pronounced presence.
Copper gives the heaviest sound with a strong bass response. Its attack is also somewhat pronounced.
Comparing these four LOAK2-TX01 backplates, ChakteViga has the lightest and most bouncy sound. Satine and Copper produce heavier and richer tones. Honduran Rosewood falls somewhere in between.
