This is the LOAK2-TX03 with a cocobolo backplate. The cocobolo used here has been cut and processed from a section that includes a small amount of white sapwood. A black line runs along the boundary between the sapwood and heartwood. This particular cocobolo is a well-dried variety with a rich reddish-brown color. When first processed, cocobolo appears as a dark brown, but with proper drying over time, it develops a deeper red hue.
For TX03, which is known for its delicate and gentle sound, this variant has a well-defined low end and a slightly warm tone. The contours of the sound are clear and distinct. It gives the impression of adding a touch of TX01’s characteristics to the TX03’s sound profile.
