This is the LOAK2-TX04, featuring a brass front housing and brass backplate. The body is made of titanium, like other TX models.
The internal tuning, including the driver, is the same as TX01, but because the front housing is made of brass, the sound is thicker and more powerful—resulting in a sonic character similar to TX02. However, compared to TX02, it has even more low-end, especially in the sub-bass region, and the overall tonal balance is shifted toward a lower center of gravity.
The high frequencies are less sharp and aggressive, with rounded edges that create a milder sound. The low-end has extended resonance and lingering decay, producing a rich and atmospheric sound. It’s even more analog-like in tone than TX02.
Due to the use of brass, there are a few handling considerations and added weight, but the distinctive sound that only brass can deliver offers a unique and characterful experience not found in titanium or stainless steel.
