Here is a comparison of several different examples of the TENORA model.
This time, we are introducing TENORA with brass and copper backplates.
The brass versions include standard semi-matte finish, hammered finish, and two color variations (Brass Green and Brass Antique Silver) created using traditional coloring techniques by Momentum Factory Orii.
The copper versions include Copper Blue and Copper Red finishes.
The TENORA’s metal backplates feature a concave inner structure filled with high-rebound material. This design allows the rigid metal backplate to flex and rebound internally, enabling the dynamic driver diaphragm to move more vigorously. As a result, the low frequencies are noticeably stronger than with wooden backplates.
In the case of TENORA, there is very little difference in sound between copper and brass. Brass may feel just slightly harder or sharper in tone, but the difference is so minimal that it is within the margin of error.
If you are looking for tighter, more impactful low frequencies in TENORA, the metal backplate version is highly recommended.
