The wood is denser than ching-chan and Padoauk, but softer and oilier.
The sound is warm and full in the lower midrange and resonates well.
The sound is thick.
The band balance is flatter and the sound distance is a little closer than when using hard and light woods.
This wood is recommended for those who prefer a warmer sound when using wood.
If you want a more dense sound than this wood, we recommend Cocobolo, etc. If you want a lighter sound with a clearer edge, we recommend Padoauk, etc.
