This is the MIROAK-II made with Purpleheart. It is a hard wood known for its beautiful purple color. When first processed, it has a color closer to brown, but it is exposed to ultraviolet light to enhance the color and then coated to preserve it. Even after completion, if the color fades, exposing it to a bit of sunlight will restore its vivid purple hue.
The sound of the MIROAK-II made with Purpleheart is characterized by clear contours and a strong attack. While there are individual differences, this particular piece is relatively dry, resulting in a sound that is not overly expansive but remains tight and well-defined.
