This is the LOAK2-TX02 made with Lignum Vitae wood. Both this one and the previous post were custom orders from the same customer, both crafted using Lignum Vitae, the heaviest wood in the world.
The LOAK2-TX02 made with Lignum Vitae has a dense sound with a strong attack. It was originally a model with a thick and powerful sound, but now it feels even weightier. However, I feel like the edges of the sound are slightly rounded. Despite Lignum Vitae being a heavy wood, it contains a lot of oil, making the sensation of cutting through it relatively soft. I believe this has a slight effect on rounding off the edges of the sound.
Comparing the LOAK2-TS(OP) Lignum Vitae from the previous post and the LOAK2-TX02 Lignum Vitae, both using the same drivers but with drastically different tunings, I think there will be a noticeable difference when listened to side by side. I find such comparisons very interesting.
