This is the LOAK-PROTOTYPE 01 (LP01) made with Brazilian Rosewood. This wood was provided by the customer themselves. Due to its rarity, 634EARS cannot supply it, but we can craft headphones using wood that customers purchase or provide themselves. However, it’s impossible to ship this Brazilian Rosewood abroad even as a processed product.

In the world of guitars, Brazilian Rosewood is extremely famous, also known as “Hakaranda”. Its appearance doesn’t differ much from other rosewoods, perhaps just slightly darker in color, but due to restrictions on imports and exports, the wood is very old and quite dry. Therefore, it’s noticeably harder than other rosewoods.

While many rosewood-type woods in 634EARS’ wood chart have “hardness < density”, this Brazilian Rosewood, being hard and dry, I believe would be “hardness > density”. Once processed, its state is clearly different from typical rosewood. Among the woods handled by 634EARS, it’s similar to Ching-chan.

The LP01 made with Brazilian Rosewood combines the solid and slim sound of Snakewood with the swelling mid-to-low range of rosewood, yet it feels lighter, brighter, and more responsive. The mid-to-low range swells without blurring, with clear outlines and fast response. It also has a slightly warm tone. Its agility and brightness, particularly, are characteristic.
