This is the LOAK-PROTOTYPE01 (LP01) with a brass backplate for the rear housing. The brass features coloring using the traditional technique of “Momentum Factory Orii” with “斑紋純銀色 (Antique Silver)” finish. The irregular silver patterns give it a very sophisticated look.
Brass is harder than wood, but this model (LOAK2 or LOAK-PROTOTYPE) has a soft, highly resilient material built into the brass, so the compression of the air by the diaphragm in the rear housing is not so tight, but also compresses and rebounds into the material like wood.It produces a sound similar to when using wood.
This model offers a refined and sharp sound unique to it, with both a clear, sharpened tone and a thick, powerful sound characteristic of dynamic types. When it comes to the sound aspect, I think choosing a metal backplate in LOAK2 or LOAK-PROTOTYPE is as easy as selecting wood, compared to other models.
