This is the LOAK-PROTOTYPE02 (LP02) featuring Satine wood on the back plate.
It shares a very similar sound profile with Cocobolo. Satine, being a wood that excellently complements the LP02, prioritizes the richness and power of the mid-to-low frequencies over lightness and clarity. The rich mid-to-low tones resonate beautifully.
While this model has now been renewed as the LOAK2-TX02, maintaining nearly identical sound characteristics to the LP02, I believe the same wood selection principles apply. The sound of this model seems to undergo a significant transformation based on whether the wood is light or heavy. In this case, Satine is a heavier wood.
